Newquay BID is proud to announce the installation of stunning colour-changing uplighting at Newquay Harbour, bringing a magical new visual dimension to one of the town's most iconic and beloved locations.
Funded through the Town Deal initiative, the new lighting enhances the cliffs behind the harbour businesses, creating a dazzling display that celebrates the natural beauty of the area and can be seen from vantage points across Newquay.
Mark Warren, Newquay BID manager, commented, "We have a stunning harbour in Newquay and should celebrate its beauty. Adding lighting to the cliffs creates a truly magical display and can be seen from all around the coast across Newquay. We will continue to add lighting, especially around key times like Christmas, to really celebrate our fabulous Newquay Harbour."
Amie Bradshaw, general manager The Boathouse commented, "The lights look great across the harbour creating a stunning visual effect, this has enhanced the lovely evening atmosphere, our customers are welcoming this new addition to the Harbour."
The project is part of BID's wider effort to enhance the town's visual appeal and promote Newquay as a year-round destination for both residents and visitors. The lighting will serve as a permanent feature, with the flexibility to tailor the display for seasonal events and special occasions. This initiative has been a strong community effort, made possible through close collaboration with harbour businesses and the Harbour Masters office.
