The organisers of The Barrowfields Eats and Beats Festival Newquay are delighted to announce a spectacular new addition to this year's August Bank Holiday weekend: The Cornish Proms – two special evening events celebrating British Anthems and Cornwall through song, flags, and community spirit.

The proms will be brought to life by a professional 20-piece Chamber Orchestra and Opera Singers leading the way in a stunning big top tent. Taking place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM, The Cornish Proms bring the joyful spirit of the traditional Proms to an outdoor clifftop setting but with a proud Cornish twist.

Guests can enjoy mass singalongs of well-known Cornish and classic British favourites including:
* Last Night of The Proms Classics Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and Rule Britannia.
* Cornish classics including Trelawney and Cornwall My Home.

"These evenings will be a heartfelt, feel-good celebration of culture and community, made even more special by the sea breeze and beautiful views. There will be sunset with late-opening food trucks and we are bringing a fun, inclusive atmosphere especially for music lovers of all ages" says Matt Pooley, event organiser.

Entry is by ticket, and attendees are encouraged to bring their best singing voices and there will be a flag giveaway for early arrivals. The Cornish Proms are part of the Eats and Beats event, running all weekend from August 22nd until the 25th with more than 25 gourmet food trucks, family fun, and stunning ocean views.

For more information, visit https://www.eatsbeats.co.uk/proms or follow @EatsandBeats on social media. Early Bird Ticket Sign Up is now live on the website and everyone who has signed up for the festival will automatically get early bird ticket access.
