Fne dining available at Da Kona at Wyndham Trenython Manor

Located on the coast of Cornwall, luxury hotel and lodge resort Wyndham Trenython Manor (part of IDILIQ Hotels & Resorts) has recently elevated its dining offering with the opening of a fine dining restaurant, Da Kona. Set in a grand, characterful room panelled with carved oak walls said to date back to the 16th century, the ornate decor of the Da Kona restaurant immerses guests in history and sets the scene for a night of indulgence.

The menu consists of locally sourced, fresh Cornish ingredients including crab, sea bass and Cornish-bred beef. Head chef Mauricio Zambrano is passionate about working with the best local suppliers, fishermen and farmers to provide the highest quality ingredients and dishes possible. Serving extensive breakfast, dinner and Sunday lunch menus, guests can enjoy a full Cornish-cooked breakfast paired with a Buck's Fizz, and there are also continental and children's breakfasts available.

For dinner, foodies are invited to savour delicious starters such as smoked duck with carrot and vanilla feuilles de brick and duck jus; belly pork served with apricot and pine nut bonbon and drizzled with cider and maple glaze; and ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese served with mouth-watering Cornish cheese fondue and truffle oil. For the main event, guests can enjoy fresh local dishes such as fettuccini frutti di mare made with a perfect mix of clams, octopus, squid, grilled king prawns, crab and lobster sauce as well as delectable vegetarian options. To finish on a sweet note, desserts include the rich chocolate cremeux with candied popcorn, hazelnut cream and raspberry coulis; and a zesty cheesecake made with poached rhubarb, grenadine, white chocolate soil and raspberry sorbet.

Available every week, the Sunday lunch menu at Da Kona serves prime meats with perfectly crisp roast potatoes, plenty of vegetables and lashings of gravy, with prices from £17 for one course, £22 for two courses and £27 for three courses. On select evenings, Da Kona offers unmissable entertainment nights, from elegant evenings of jazz to fun-filled quiz nights and family events.

Those looking to extend their visit can enjoy a blissful escape to one of Wyndham Trenython Manor's comfortable and contemporary self-contained cottages or spacious lodges, with a variety of activities available on the grounds of the 24-acre private estate as well as a leisure centre and spa.
