Finest Retreats reveal ARC Painswick and ARC Padstow

ARC Painswick and ARC Padstow

Finest Retreats is delighted to announce its partnership with ARC, taking on exclusive management of a series of properties that embody a new standard in UK homestays. Comfortably hosting up to 30 people per property, ARC is a curated and crafted collection of the most remarkable country houses, from the minds of London-based architecture studio Parti and design studio Regular Practice.

Combining architecture, furniture and landscape, Parti aims to design atmospheres and experiences as integral to buildings, spaces and landscapes. Each building is a beautiful, well-crafted, inventive property that positively impacts guests, society and the built environment.

The first two properties in the series are ARC Painswick, a 15th-century wool merchant's manor house at the heart of the town restored to its ancestral beauty, and ARC Padstow, an 18th-century build restored to its original plan and nestled in the heart of St Issey, Cornwall.

ARC Painswick offers modern comforts to create a homely, hearty feel blending classic décor with contemporary pieces and can accommodate up to 24 guests in nine bedrooms. There's an outdoor swimming pool and the grounds boast uninterrupted views of the Painswick Hills.Alongside impeccably styled interiors, ARC stays offer curated experiences where guests can plan as much or as little as they'd like, using the purpose-built ARC online 'Lobby' to organise and schedule every detail of their stay; from some of Stroud's best street food delivered to the door and a private bartender to prepare cocktails, to a private tour and wine tasting at Painswick's very own Rococo Gardens.

ARC Padstow is an 18th-century building restored to its original plan and nestled in the heart of St Issey, Cornwall. Further ARCs are being designed in the Lake District and Peak District National Parks, Suffolk, Surrey and Devon.

Richard Bond, founder of Finest Retreats says: "We're delighted to partner with ARC and their incredibly innovative concept homes. We've worked closely with ARC founder Tom Leahy from the outset to help achieve his vision. From providing our holiday letting expertise throughout the renovations and redesign, we're now looking forward to welcoming guests this summer and providing exceptional concierge-style service. We're driven by our core values to provide the very finest holidays for guests, and work hard for our owners which is why we're especially proud to manage the ARCs alongside an owner who so clearly shares our approach."
