Holiday letting agency Cornish Horizons is proudly celebrating as St Ives is crowned the happiest place in the UK for holiday-goers, following a national survey by sister brand holidaycottages.co.uk. This Cornish haven is the perfect place to slow down, relax and breathe in the salty air with friends and family.
The research, which gathered responses from more than 12,000 UK holidaymakers, asked people to reflect on the places and experiences that bring them the most joy while on a UK break. Newquay, Padstow and Bude were also listed in the top 10 happiest towns in the UK, which earned Cornwall's definitive victory.
Regional marketing manager at Cornish Horizons, said, "We've always known Cornwall holds something truly magical, from its dramatic coastlines and golden beaches to the laid-back lifestyle and welcoming communities. As a team rooted in the South West, we hear time and again how refreshed and inspired our guests feel after a stay here. It's no surprise to us that Cornwall continues to capture hearts; it's a feeling locals and visitors have known for generations."
