Santa is coming to North Devon along with cocktail and wreath-making workshops, Christmas carols, festive cheese and wine tasting, Yuletide campfires and more! Christmas has arrived at The Mole Resort Devon, with the announcement of a jam-packed season of festive fun, food and frolics for families, friends and couples to enjoy. From now until the 26th of December, the luxury resort destination will be transformed into a countryside wonderland for guests burrowing down for a one-of-a-kind Christmas experience. Festive-themed additions and activities included in breaks at The Mole Resort include cocktail and wreath-making workshops, festive quiz night, local carol singing with mulled wine, festive entertainment, magician and a disco for the little ones, a beautifully decorated Christmas trees inside all lodges and Christmas story time orchestrated by local theatre company, Rattlebox Theatre. Plus, there's a fully-stocked chestnut cart!
More jolly pursuits to get hotel and resort guests as well as locals in the spirit include a meet-and-greet with Santa, cocktail-making masterclasses and cookie decorating. All of these activities are in addition to the 125-acre countryside ‘playground’, which offers everything from indoor and outdoor swimming and woodland walking trails to a dedicated kids’ play area.
The Mole Resort has also announced its Christmas Day Lunch is priced at £95 per adult and £45 per child, the Boxing Day Supper is £45 per person and £25 per child and the Festive High Tea is priced at £18.50 per person with menus designed for guests to enjoy locally sourced Christmas dishes during their visit**.
The Christmas Day menu begins with a festive Bellini and features delights including a choice of Beech Ridge duck and gingerbread bonbon, goat cheese and potato parfait, roasted root vegetable salad or Yuzu mustard-cured sea trout to start. For the main event, there’s 35-day aged sirloin of John May beef; butter and sage roasted turkey crown; pan-seared fillet of South Coast stone bass; a beetroot, brie and spinach tart; or a wild mushroom, spinach and truffle suet pudding. Be sure to leave room for dessert, as the menu boasts a chocolate tart, Christmas pudding and a selection of local cheeses.
What’s more, The Mole Resort has also created a limited-edition Festive Food Pack (£65 serving four people) for guests wanting to cook up their festive feast in a self-catering lodge. Dedicated to championing the very best local produce and suppliers, these packs boast both sweet and savoury inclusions such as a turkey crown, seasonal vegetables, chicken jus, pigs in blankets, potatoes and garlic and thyme, mince pies and more.
