Proudly Cornish in its aesthetic and outlook, the luxurious St Michaels Resort in Falmouth is delighted to support exciting local festivals and events this autumn, encouraging off-season travel to Falmouth for visitors keen to experience the charming region, away from the summer crowds. Falmouth Oyster Festival is back for its 25th year, and as long-term advocates of this local gourmet event, St Michaels Resort is supporting as the lead sponsor for 2023.

The hotel's AA Rosette-awarded hotel restaurant, Brasserie on the Bay, boasts a menu using premium Cornish seafood and as the principal sponsor at this year's Falmouth Oyster Festival, the resort will be running its own Seafood and Champagne Bar over the course of the event, offering a blend of brasserie and street food-style dishes, showcasing locally sourced crab, squid and oysters. Head chef, Ady Foulkes will be offering a cookery demo at the festival on Saturday the 14th of October, and an all-day roast will be served at the hotel on Sunday 15th, with live musical entertainment from local legend, Will Keating.

The hotel's connection to the sea can be felt throughout the property, from ocean views to coastal interiors. Nigel Carpenter, chairman of St Michaels Resort said: "St Michaels is delighted to continue its long-term sponsorship of the festival, particularly as it marks its 25th anniversary. It's a wonderful occasion that encapsulates our Cornish community spirit, but it's also a great opportunity to welcome friends from far and wide to this festival and town. It continues to put Falmouth on the map as a leading Cornish destination and one in which they can celebrate the incredible local delicacies that our area has to offer."

As well as exploring Cornwall's culinary delights, St Michaels Resort will also be sponsoring the Falmouth International Arts Festival and Falmouth Book Festival in October. The wealth of events taking place in this seaside town this autumn, further cements Falmouth's reputation as a cultural hotspot.
