Cornish-based rum brand, Mainbrace Rum (the perfect tipple for al fresco wedding celebrations this summer), has announced a partnership with the Port of Falmouth Sailing Association (PoFSA), the non-profit organisation responsible for organising, running, and promoting sailing in Falmouth waters. Mainbrace is a premium golden rum, conceived in Falmouth, Cornwall, blended from two distinct rum styles - English Navy Rum from Guyana and French Agricole Rhum from Martinique. As a smooth drink, with no additional sweeteners or colorings, Mainbrace Rum has received rave reviews and multiple global awards since its launch at RumFest in 2019. Mainbrace will be providing a bottle of rum for all 1st place winners of the race, and additional prizes for those coming in 2nd and 3rd place. A bar will also be set up at the competitor’s reception and skipper’s briefing on Saturday 7th August, to “splice the mainbrace” to the upcoming races. Richard Haigh, Co-Founder of Mainbrace Rum, commented: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the Carrick Race during Falmouth Sailing Week this year, and very much looking forward to joining in on the festivities in Cornwall.”
The partnership will involve the sponsorship of the "Mainbrace Rum Race" for the Carrick Fleet, which will take place during Falmouth Sailing Week on Wednesday 11th August 2021. It looks set to be a fun event for all, especially for those deciding to enjoy a staycation minimoon in the region.
