Falmouth Food Festival set to take place from 26th - 28th May

The first-ever Falmouth Food Festival is set to take place between May 26th and the 28th after co-founders Barney and Harry, who were both born in Falmouth, decided to combine their passion for food, drink and events. Backed by FALMOUTH CREATES, the collaborative team curated by the award-winning Falmouth Business Improvement District (BID), the event will be held in Church Street Car Park's lower section. Wickhams showcases sustainability at Toby’s Garden Festival

Toby's Garden Festival is rapidly approaching, taking place in the grounds of Powderham Castle in Devon on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th of April. During the two days, festival sponsor Wickhams will be showcasing sustainability within the wine world, offering free wine tastings with a chance to try and buy a range of wine from vineyards in Devon, England and beyond. Celebrate King Charles III Coronation with Mainbrace Rum

Winners of the Trencherman's Awards 2023 announced

The winners of the Trencherman's Awards 2023 were recently revealed at a spectacular ceremony by the sea at Salcombe Harbour Hotel. Broadcaster and food critic William Sitwell and Dorset's TV chef and restaurateur Mark Hix of The Oyster and Fish House joined Trencherman's Guide editorial director Jo Rees to present this year's awards – the most prestigious dining accolades in the South West. The event was attended by the region's leading chefs, restaurateurs and hoteliers, among other influential foodies. Host William Sitwell said: "Very few areas of the country have a guide that rivals Hardens or Michelin in terms of how it's put together – the Trencherman's Guide has really experienced food writers bringing their know-how and knowledge to it – but also for the fact that the South West food scene has the most extraordinary talent." He added, "The Trencherman's Awards event showcases the incredible talent, innovation, a lot of energy, a lot of young people who have come into the hospitality business – and of course a few true stalwarts like my co-host Mark Hix."
