Luxurious wedding venue Kitley House Hotel located near Plymouth in Devon has announced award win

Luxurious wedding venue Kitley House Hotel located in Yealmpton near Plymouth in Devon has announced it has been awarded Wedding Venue of the Year in the Devon Tourism Awards 2019.

The four-star hotel was delighted to win Gold in the category against strong competiiton from other leading venues.

The property also scooped Silver in the Business Events Venue category.

The team were presented with the awards at a glitzy ceremony at the Riviera Centre in Torquay.

The awards saw a record 240 entires across 27 different categories with 167 of the entires, including Kitley House Hotel, being visited by a judge as part of the process. Their comments about the venue were that it was, "charming, with a real sense of grandeur" and as a business events venue, it provided, "the perfect backdrop for any meeting or conference.

"Kitley House Hotel is a 500-year-old former manor house with a rich history set in 600 acres beside the Yealm estuary on a family-run estate.

It has undergone a period of restoration and renovation in the last year.
