Newquay shopfronts set to be decorated for Halloween

Newquay shopfronts set to be decorated in time for Halloween

In collaboration with Visit Newquay, Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) is calling out for its member businesses to get involved in the 2022 Halloween window dress-up competition, for which a number of prizes will be available (all sourced from local BID member businesses). The team is also asking businesses to get involved in the upcoming ghoulish Halloween Town Trail which will be taking place from October 22nd until October 30th 2022 by hosting clues in their windows or shops.

Open to anyone within the town centre of Newquay, this is an opportunity for front-facing businesses to demonstrate their creepy creativity and to just have a bit of fun as we head into the winter season. The team has further petrifying plans for Halloween in Newquay this year with a curdling crescendo to take place on Saturday, October 29th. Further details for this particular event will be released in due course.

Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) manager, Mark Warren said, "Halloween is such a fun time of year that really brings people together and we want to make the most of it here in spooky Newquay. We're asking teams in the businesses to don their gory get-ups and ghoulish glad rags in the most spooktacular style and make their premises look terrifically terrifying for the occasion. The scarier the better!"

Mark continued, "We will be judging the windows with the opportunity to win a number of different locally-sourced prizes for the scariest displays. The prizes will be revealed shortly via Newquay BID's social media platforms and newsletter. If you are keen to enter the competition, we will need to hear from you in advance so please send me an email to register your participation and be in with a chance of winning."

Susan Deakin of Visit Newquay said, "We look forward to launching the Halloween Trail here in Newquay. It has been so popular in previous years, both with businesses getting involved by dressing up their window fronts and with visitors and locals, keen to complete the trail. To make the trail happen this year, we need a minimum of 20 businesses to be involved by putting clues up in their windows. If you would like to be one of those businesses, please confirm by contacting me on susan.deakin@newquay.town and we can discuss further."
