Salcombe Dairy has launched individual miniature versions of The Bar, their popular bean-to-bar milk and dark chocolate, crafted from organic fairly-traded Peruvian cacao nibs. Ideal as wedding favours, each chocolate has been hand-moulded in Devon, and is wrapped in 100% compostable packaging.

The four irresistible flavours available in the new miniature size are dark chocolate, evening star, dark chocolate with peppermint and milk chocolate honeycomb. Perfect for milk and dark chocolate lovers, Evening Star in the selection is a rich, smooth and delicate milk chocolate boasting stronger and darker flavours than standard milk chocolate.

Commenting on the launch, managing director Dan Bly says, "First launched in 2017 The Bar has been a tremendous success. Customers love the unique flavours, the fact that it's hand-moulded, and that it's made using organic, fairly-traded cacao nibs. The introduction of a 25g size for the hospitality and catering trade seemed the next logical step for and we're excited to see how it's received."

In addition to the flavours in the 25g size, Salcombe Dairy produces 11 other melt in the mouth flavours, all available in 80g bars, including dark chocolate ginger, milk chocolate caramel and Devon sea salt, and dark chocolate with Salcombe gin, sloe and Juniper.

The Bar is named after Alfred, Lord Tennyson's poem Crossing the Bar, believed to have been inspired by Salcombe Bar - a sandbar just off the coast of the seaside town.
