Cuckoo Down Farm, Nr Sidmouth, Devonshire

couple in wedding outfits sat on back of open top jeep with sign just married

This glamping and holiday site, and new wedding venue, is located near the World Heritage Coastline at Sidmouth in the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by 30 acres of unspoilt meadows and a three-acre oak and bluebell wood with a stream running through it where deer, badgers and owls can frequently be spotted. The farm is home to four beautifully decorated safari lodges accommodating up to six adults and two yurts providing glamping for up to four adults (or a family including two children) – ideal for wedding guests.
Facilities include hot showers, wood-burning stoves and cosy sofas, rugs and double beds and the newest safari lodge called Blackberry features a private wood-fired hot tub.

The site can be exclusively booked for a wedding for up to 170 guests in total and includes (but is not limited to) access from 4 pm on Friday until 10 am on Monday for weekend weddings; glamping for up to 36 guests; additional camping and campervan sites and parking available for all guests; the wedding glade in the woods decorated with haybales for the ceremony; a farm tractor and trailer ride for the couple, and no corkage charges.

We love... that couples are invited to stay at the farm free-of-charge ahead of the wedding for a planning weekend.
