Kennaway House is a beautiful Grade II* listed Regency mansion dating from 1805, standing in its own grounds in the heart of Sidmouth. The venue offers a choice of three spacious and elegant Georgian reception rooms, with views onto a large garden, bordered with ancient chestnut trees and flowers.
Kennaway House is renowned for its period features, with high ceilings, Georgian sash windows, stained glass and a unique Recency double staircase. The house was completely restored in 2009, and has been maintained beautifully ever since. It is only a one-minute walk from the seafront, perfect for photographs!
Kennaway House can host weddings for up to 100 people, with the option of a champagne reception in one of the Regency rooms. The beautiful Hatton Wood and Amyatt Rooms, with their high sash windows and stunning views, are the ideal backdrop for exchanging of vows in the presence of up to 80 guests. The Cellar Bar is a larger room, with capacity for up to 100 guests. Marquees can also be hired for the garden, and a champagne reception can take place on the lawn. The whole house can be exclusively booked, or a selection of reception and function rooms. There is full disabled access with parking and a lift to all floors. Wedding catering can be provided by excellent local caterers, and there is a professional kitchen connecting to the Cellar Bar.
