Manhay Farm Wedding and Events

This newly opened Cornish venue is set on a farm, which dates back to the 1600s. It’s home to two barns that have been beautifully renovated to accommodate modern demands, while carefully maintaining the original features. Both of the barn venues feature high ceilings and exposed beams. As you enter Byghan Barn, the first thing you’ll notice is the impressive large oak wedding arch that frames the back wall. Dressed in silky fabrics and flowers, it creates an Instagrammable backdrop for big-day photos. Next door is the large reception barn with carpeted floors creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests.

There’s plenty of outdoor space in front of the barns for garden games and a four-acre field for wedding guests to camp (or glamp) overnight. The sub-tropical garden is secluded, surrounded by lush greenery and filled with palms and fragrant flowers. The large decking area overlooking the pond is the garden’s focal point, with its tranquil waters reflecting the surroundings. The stream feeds the pond that’s home to various fish, frogs, and dragonflies. The barns are surrounded by rolling hills and lush meadows with vbrant colours changing with the seasons.

Celebrant-led ceremonies take place in the Bygharn Barn for up to 84 guests. The ceremony venue hire fee includes the following:
- Two-day hire with access for suppliers to set up the day before.
- Wooden chairs for up to 84 guests.
- Speakers to play the wedding playlist.
- Guest meet and greet – the team will welcome guests, the bridal party and the celebrant to ensure that everybody is in position before arrival.

The venue hire fee for the garden includes the last three listed above, plus a floral arch made with white silk roses and greenery. Bygharn Barn will be reserved on standby in case of wet weather.

The Large Barn featuring tall ceilings and exposed beams can seat up to 120 guests at trestle tables and 80 loved ones at circular tables. The venue hire fee for this space includes the following:
- Two-day hire with access suppliers to set up the day before.
- Tables and chairs for up to 120 guests.
- A PA speaker and microphones for the speeches and dancing.
- Posh portable toilets.
- A generator to power all catering and entertainment needs.
- A fully staffed and stocked bar. Wedding coordination – the team are on-site to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
- Two nights in The Bridal Bijou, a luxury one-bedroom cottage hideaway.

The Scarlet Hotel Launches Four Ayurvedic Journeys Inspired By The Cornish Coast

The Scarlet Hotel, an eco-inspired sanctuary nestled on the clifftops of Cornwall's Mawgan Porth, has launched four new well-being journeys inspired by Ayurvedic wellness principles. Each journey focuses on balance and rejuvenation, drawing from ancient practices to promote deep relaxation and healing. Available from two-, three- and four-night packages, and for solo travellers and couples alike, guests will be treated to a programme of whole-body therapies and rejuvenating treatments, complete with the Scarlet's nourishing seasonally inspired cuisine and sea-view accommodation. Inspired by its natural coastal setting, the Spa at Scarlet Hotel draws on the ancient healing power of Ayurveda – a 5,000-year-old natural science that offers pathways towards health and harmony. Set on the Cornish clifftops exposed to the five elements: fire (sun), water (Atlantic Ocean), air (sea-breeze), ether (great expanse of sky) and earth (dramatic clifftops), the Scarlet Spa expresses the wisdom of Ayurveda.
