New hen party ideas at Bird & Blend Tea Co. venues
On various dates throughout December and January '23, and into 2023, Bird & Blend Tea Co. will...
Like anything in the world of weddings, much of the inspiration comes from celebrities. Last year was most definitely the reign of the royals! With the Duchess of Sussex choosing a showstopping silk dress and simple styling, it proved that showing less is more. We saw a resurrection of understated classical styles in both wedding dresses and bridal hair and make-up.
As a wedding hair and make-up artist and beauty specialist, my ultimate goal is to have the bride and her bridal party all feeling glamorous. Here are a couple of simple steps to help you choose the right styles for you.
Wedding hair
Choosing your big-day look look is almost certainly the next step after choosing your dress. Let your outfit lead the way so for example, gowns with high necklines work well with an up do. To create the vintage look, opt for a more structured style. Those loving a relaxed boho style might prefer either a messy bun or a loose style worn down. When you're shopping for your dress, try on a veil, hair comb, tiara or faux flower headband. Feel free to take anything with you to try on with the gown because it's all part of the experience.
Another thing to factor in is will your chosen hair and make-up styles suit your venue?
Wedding make-up
Whether you have one supplier doing both your make-up and hair, or two separate suppliers working together, your dream look is achievable! In the same way as for your hair, factor in your dress, venue and even your theme that creates the overall look you're going for. Make-up is a very personal choice. Do you want to look completely different on your big day? Or do you just want to look like an enhanced version of you? Whichever you choose, you need to make sure you're feeling confident and at your best. Always opt for a trial - this is a great opportunity to try different looks and get some advice about what works best for you, your desired look, and your skin tone.
Finally, remember that this is all part of the build up so have fun and experiment. Whichever you choose, go for the style that leaves you feeling confident.
