Devon Wedding Photographer wins Bronze in this years PX-3 Prix de la Paris

Wedding photographer Martyn Norsworthy based in Kingsbridge, Devon, has won yet another award, this time a Bronze award for one of his entries into this years PX-3 Prix de la Paris. This is in addition to being awarded two Honourable Mention awards by the Judges.

All three awards have come from the People/Wedding Category of this years competition. The Bronze award was awarded for a black and white image of a bride and groom who married at Salcombe Harbour Hotel in Salcombe last year. Entitled The Look, this moody and dramatic image was created on the Sea Wall at North Sands. A stormy grey sky added to this feel and once finished in black and white, it added drama and elegance to the finished look.

The Honourable Mention awards were awarded to two images captured and created in Italy last Autumn, where Martyn was invited to shoot a wedding dress campaign for an Italian Atelier. Both photographed in the Ballroom of an Italian Palace, they offer two very different moods. Anticipation is shot in black and white and depicts a bride sat waiting for her wedding, looking towards the window and wondering what is yet to come while Dominance & Splendour captured in colour is a very high fashion and dominant look showcasing the dress and veil in a typically powerful Italian look.

Martyn has won many Honourable Mention awards and a small amount of Bronze, Silver and Gold awards over the past 13 years and always looks forward to the PX-3 each year. The PX-3 Exhibition will take place in Paris later this year or early in 2021, where all Gold awards will be framed and exhibited. The Bronze and Silver awards are projected on the walls as a slide show throughout the exhibition and also printed in the PX-3 Annual Book.

Martyn tells us, "I am truly honoured to have won a Bronze award, it means so much. My previous High Awards have been from the public vote, but this one is from the judges. I can't wait to go to Paris and see the exhibition and my work projected onto the Gallery Walls."
