November/December 2019 |

There’s something magical about this time of the year, and it’s the build-up to Christmas, the three days themselves and then the anticipation of the year ahead. I love pottering around the shops, getting presents for my loved ones and cute decorations for my new home.
I look forward to spending my first Christmas in my new place, cooking a turkey dinner with my family and then opening presents, drinking red wine and feasting on mums homemade cake that she has promised to make this year. Traditional and comforting, Christmas brings with it lots of love and joy for me, and it always has done since I was a child. It’s my favourite time of every year.
If you’re planning a festive wedding, then no doubt you’ll be looking for merry ways of incorporating lots of lovely details. I was in my element compiling this issue, from the winter-inspired venue ideas (page 21) to the fun fashion section starting on page 70 offering glamorous gowns and berry shades for your best girls.
So I wish you a very jolly holiday season, and for those of you not getting married just yet, we will be back with another bumper issue in early 2020. | |

Rockbeare Manor
This Grade 1 listed manor house is surrounded by more than 100 acres of parkland that looks romantic under a blanket of snow during winter. It’s a wedding venue boasting views stretching across the picturesque Haldon Hills. The 13 luxurious yet cosy bedrooms feature traditional roll top baths and original fireplaces, and include two spacious family rooms and an accessible bedroom on the ground floor for twin or double occupancy. Ceremonies take place for up to 100 guests in the Dining Room, with its giant crystal chandelier, or on the outdoor South Pavilion Terrace for up to 160 loved ones. The Ballroom, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, can also host large ceremonies of up to 160 guests, and seats between 50 to 160 people for the wedding breakfast and reception.
