July/August 2019

What’s your favourite thing about summer? For me, it’s living by the sea and the simple pleasures that this lifestyle brings. The smell of the salty sea air as I sit on my terrace, the view of the sunset during the lovely long evenings as I walk along the beach after work, and the al fresco dinners and drinks with friends while the weather allows. So I was in my element researching and writing the coastal wedding venue feature for this high summer issue on page 21, revealing what the best of Devon and Cornwall has to offer. It includes some chic beachside hotels with fantastic restaurants that are top of my must-visit wish list!

Another thing I love about summer is the relaxed festival vibe, and I’m already planning my outfit (and accessories) for the one-day music festival that I’ve booked to visit with friends this year. So writing about The Wyldes – an authentic festival site that’s also a wedding venue on page 66 – was a pleasure for me. I love this style of wedding, with the beautiful boho-inspired dresses, feather dreamcatcher backdrops, floral archways and fusion food stalls, so this has been the ideal time to showcase ideas for them.

If you’re about to get married then enjoy your summer celebrations and for those of you still in the planning stages, I’ll see you next issue.
