This time of the year always makes me smile. The excitement of Christmas and New Year has paved the way for Valentine’s Day with all the cute cards and gifts in store as soon as the last-minute January sale items have left the shelves. Whether you’re planning a February wedding or are simply shopping now for a big day later in the year, it’s a great time to collect some love-themed trinkets and decorative accessories to style your celebration. This love-filled day has also been the inspiration behind my shopping buys this month. This luxurious, award-winning wedding venue in South Devon is a 500-year-old country house nestled deep in the heart of the countryside. Many of the elegant bedrooms and suites offer panoramic views across the estate and all are decorated with traditional furnishings teamed with modern facilities. Ceremonies take place in The Regency Room, in the lakeside Gazebo (also known as The Island) and in the Summer House located in the meadow, all of which can accomdate up to 90 guests. The Library is also licensed but is best suited to the wedding breakfast. Both this and the evening reception can also take place in the Banqueting Hall while a buffet can be set up in the Regency Room.
