but I remember thinking it would be a lovely place to get married.” The couple chose the chic Harbour Sidmouth hotel which is just a few minutes walk from the beach. “It was perfect,” Bhagyashree explains. “We visited one of their wedding open days and loved it. We wanted to get married on the beach but have a backup plan in case it was raining which it offered although we needn’t have worried because the sun came out on our special day and we were able to have our dream beach wedding!” The couple chose a pink, beige and coral theme for their celebrations. “We planned our wedding in four months,” Bhagyashree explains. “We were both pretty chilled out and Andrew let me choose most things. I wanted our wedding to be classy and beautiful and, after deciding on the colour theme, I created most of our pretty décor using items from Hobbycraft and Amazon. We decided on real flowers for the centrepieces surrounded by candles. Our delicious cake was budget-friendly from Marks & Spencer and the top-quality catering was provided by the expert team at the venue. Our table plan, stationery and floral archway were the last things to be made a few days before the wedding.” LOOKING THE PART Bhagyashree wore a traditional white wedding gown with a veil. “I tried some dresses on at various bridal boutiques and felt that a strapless one featuring a sweetheart neckline looked good on me,” she explains. “I decided on the style called Katerina from the Blue by Enzoani collection. Most of my girlfriends were with me on the day to help me decide and I accessorised it with a crystal beaded belt and a stunning veil.” Andrew wore a navy suit teamed with a white shirt and pink tie. “He wore a different buttonhole to his groomsmen to stand out, Bhagyashree says, “and our beautiful bridesmaids wore long floaty dresses in beige and pink tones.” TIME TO CELEBRATE The couple had soft jazz music playing throughout the day creating a romantic atmosphere. “During the evening, we played a special list of music that we had both compiled especially for our wedding,” Bhagyashree tells us. “Our wedding coordinator at the hotel, Milly, was so professional and friendly - she made the day so much easier to manage.” – Bhagyashree and Andrew 46
