Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - Page number 34 - May/June 2021 (Issue 31)

I adored our decorative birdcages filled with flowers. My mum made all of the flower arrangements inc luding my bridal bouquet and our bridesmaids’ bouquets, the centrepiece for the top table and a floral reef for the front of t he hotel using dusky pink and cream varieties which all looked s tunning. My mum and I decorated the table plan, which w as displayed on an easel, with crochet ribbon and pearls. The t ables were numbered with each one displayed in a vintage-sty le frame. Our wedding postbox added a stylish touch. As soon as we first visited The Alverton Truro we both fell in love with it. It’s wonderfully historic and the Great Hall is magnificent - we could see ourselves getting married there. We displayed candelabras as our centrepieces draped with strands of pearls and our favours were small Mason jars filled with pink bonbon sweets and white mints to tie in with our colour theme. “The decorations around the Great Hall couldn’t have looked any better!” — Amber 34
